You know all those people that move to Brooklyn because they need more space, or a better school or whatever? And who then tell you how much better Brooklyn is that the East Village?

    They are lying.

We can’t see the name of the bakery!

You said Prospect Park. Nice Freudian slip. You miss us and you know it, you E.V. tosser!

“Bazaar for teenagers and Japan-o-philes”; “Ta-kwee-toes”; “Mother of Skeeviness”; “…Maybe not this one.”; “No, I only knew the ham.”. Excellent. Most Excellent. More please.

    Bravo!!!

Now walk somewhere you don’t love so much. Go Uptown. Go to the Meatpacking District, Brooklyn even! Anywhere. Do more of these.

You’re amazing at it, they’re impromptu and no one else is doing this. Fresh!!! Anyone can review a restaurant. But a neighborhood. Thats a whole different kettle of herring.

I love your reviews. I love these even more.

    Keep doing this my friend.

    Bro,

I love a true New Yorker through and through. I walk in the same footsteps as you…. literally and figuratively.

I completely dig your food sense, brain, humor and quick wit.

p.s. Rainbow cookies are the bomb at 9th Street Bakery too.

    Marina

I love how much everyone likes these. I would do one in a neighborhood that I’m less familiar with, but then I really would be just riffing and reacting. Which I guess is OK. Hmm.

I watch your videos with a thesaurus/dictionary next to my laptop…

    Look up “Bloviate”

I’m so glad you started doing videos again. I live in Philly and I get up to NYC quite often. You’ve helped me find the side of NYC that I long for. The things that made it a real destination and gave it character rather than just the home of the largest Gap or chain restaurant. Haven’t found myself sitting down to a boloney samwich at Eisenbergs but it won’t be long now.

    Keep having fun Mr. O.
