“Improving your health depends largely on acquiring a lifestyle that allows you to create adherence to healthy habits.”
We all know that eating fruits and vegetables produces benefits on our health, but this habit must always be linked to a lifestyle that goes beyond these foods; such as physical exercise or less consumption of alcohol and ultra-processed products (the less, the better, knowing that 0 is the best option).
Therefore, I encourage you from this moment to start considering the advice that I propose as an improvement in your lifestyle.
Healthy habits in your diet and physical activity:
Don’t “diet” yourself as if it were punishment. Be persistent with your diet and create adherence to it in the medium term; you will obtain the desired result in a natural and healthy way. Keep in mind that the results or consequences are not seen immediately, but they begin in our body from the first day.
Maintain a Healthy Weight “Without Obsessing Over”
Eat between 3 and 5 meals a day, adjusting what you eat to your profile and needs; it will allow you to maintain a healthy and stable weight.
Eat more (increase consumption of …)
Increase the consumption of fruits, vegetables, and vegetables, legumes, eggs, whole grains, and nuts. Also, try to eat fish at least 3 times a week.
Drink more (hydration)
Drink 5 glasses of water a day; It is not necessary to reach 2 liters, but it is important to stay hydrated.
Eat less than …
Eliminate the consumption of energy-dense and micronutrient-poor foods such as soft drinks, commercial juices, chocolate, ice cream, or bakery products.
Improve the quality of your diet
Eliminate the energy consumption that comes from fats of low quality and/or doubtful origin and use extra virgin olive oil as the main source of fats when cooking.
Limit your salt intake
Limit your salt intake and preferably use iodized salt.
Do not look for or use miracle products in search of shortcuts, it will only empty your pocket and you will be frustrated in the long run.
Take advantage of the day to do some physical activity and exercise.
Take advantage of opportunities throughout the day to increase your physical activity.
The sedentary lifestyle is over
Minimizes sedentary lifestyle during free time and encourages active leisure. I recommend at least 45 minutes of regular physical exercise, of moderate intensity, with a frequency of 5 times a week.
